The Dozen Collective exists because of a belief

The best parts of travel can never be planned.

It started with a whim

It started with a whim

Years ago, on a complete whim, I booked a bus to Shimla that departed thirty minutes later. No itinerary. No reservations. No expectations. What followed was a chain of events I could never have designed myself.

Strangers became friends

Strangers became friends

Strangers became friends within hours. One spontaneous decision led to another — a hostel conversation turned into road trips, mountain villages, hidden waterfalls, overnight buses and unforgettable experiences shared with people I’d met only days before. None of it was on a travel itinerary. And that’s exactly why it mattered.

The road less planned

The road less planned

That journey changed how I think about travel. The most memorable moments rarely happen at the places everyone tells you to visit — they happen when you venture a little further, stay a little longer, take the road that wasn’t part of the plan, and stay open to the unexpected.

Why we exist

Why we exist

The Dozen Collective was built around that idea. We create small-group journeys to places most travellers overlook — for curious explorers who value experiences over checklists, connection over crowds, and stories over sightseeing. We believe there are still places that can surprise you. And sometimes, all it takes is one decision to find them.

“One spontaneous yes changed how I travel forever. I built The Dozen Collective so it can do the same for you.”
