About

The Dozen Collective exists because of a belief:

The best parts of travel can never be planned.

Years ago, on a complete whim, I booked a bus to Shimla that departed thirty minutes later. No itinerary. No reservations. No expectations.

What followed was a chain of events I could never have designed myself.

Strangers became friends within hours. One spontaneous decision led to another. A hostel conversation turned into road trips, mountain villages, hidden waterfalls, overnight buses, and unforgettable experiences shared with people I’d met only days before.

None of it was on a travel itinerary. And that’s exactly why it mattered.

That journey changed the way I think about travel. It showed me that the most memorable moments rarely happen at the places everyone tells you to visit. They happen when you venture a little further, stay a little longer, take the road that wasn’t part of the original plan, and remain open to the unexpected.

The Dozen Collective was built around that idea.

We create small-group journeys to places that most travellers overlook — not because they’re harder to reach, but because they’re harder to discover. Our trips are designed for curious explorers who value experiences over checklists, connection over crowds, and stories over sightseeing.

We believe there are still places that can surprise you.

And sometimes, all it takes is one decision to find them.
