The honest math

What ₹76,000 actually buys

One all-in price — 5% GST and 2% TCS included, nothing extra at checkout. And the 2% TCS comes back to you when you file your ITR.

The Dozen Collective

12 explorers + 2 crew — every meal at one table, nobody left behind.

vs a typical large-group tour

30–45 strangers and a headcount at every stop.

The Dozen Collective

All private transfers — air-conditioned, on your schedule, door to door — even up the mountain switchbacks.

vs a typical large-group tour

Shared vans and songthaews that leave when they're full, not when you are.

The Dozen Collective

Above the clouds on Doi Inthanon — the roof of Thailand and the Kew Mae Pan cloudforest trail before the buses arrive.

vs a typical large-group tour

A 20-minute photo stop at the summit sign.

The Dozen Collective

Temples you won't believe — the White, Blue and Black temples done properly — plus the giant Guan Yin at Wat Huay Pla Kang.

vs a typical large-group tour

One rushed half-hour at the White Temple car park.

The Dozen Collective

Mae Kampong & the Giant Café — a village in the clouds, and coffee on a platform in a giant tree most tours don't know exists.

vs a typical large-group tour

Skipped entirely — it isn't on the bus route.

The Dozen Collective

Tea roads & the Golden Triangle — Choui Fong plantation, Doi Chang coffee country and the Mekong bend where three countries meet.

vs a typical large-group tour

A souvenir-shop "viewpoint" stop.

The Dozen Collective

We screen who comes — a quick call with every traveller before they're confirmed, so you're with people you'd have chosen yourself.

vs a typical large-group tour

Anyone who books gets a seat — pot luck on who you spend the week with.

The Dozen Collective

Founder on every departure — plans it, leads it, answers for it.

vs a typical large-group tour

Rotating tour staff you meet at the airport.

The Dozen Collective

Zero shopping stops — no gem showrooms, no commission detours, no padded "free time".

vs a typical large-group tour

The detours that quietly pay for the cheap sticker price.

Why this trip exists

One person. One obsession. Getting this exactly right.

I started The Dozen Collective because the trip I wanted didn’t exist — small, genuinely curated, led by someone who actually cares whether you have the time of your life. So I’m building this one the way I’d want it: scouting every stay, planning every transfer, and personally choosing the eleven people you’ll travel with.

I’ll be there the whole way, start to finish. This isn’t a tour I’m selling — it’s a trip I’m pouring myself into.

Frequently asked questions

Curious 18–40s — a mix of solo travellers and pairs from across India. Everyone has a short call with Akshat before being confirmed, so the group stays the kind of people you'd actually want to travel with.

Most of our travellers book solo — it's the whole point. You'll have company from the welcome dinner onwards, and your own space whenever you want it.

Twelve travellers, never more, plus Akshat and the crew. Small enough to eat at one table, big enough to always find your people.

The founder. Akshat plans every route and travels with the group on every departure — the person you message before booking is the person at dinner in Thailand.

Reserve with a small deposit (₹11,000–₹21,000 depending on the trip) through a secure Razorpay link. The balance is due 30 days before departure.

Yes. Stays, transfers, guided experiences, listed meals, entry fees, 5% GST and 2% TCS — all inside the one number you see. Nothing is added at checkout.

A 2% Tax Collected at Source that applies to all overseas trips from India. It's deposited against your PAN and comes back to you when you file your ITR — so it's included in our price, not lost money.

A departure is guaranteed to run once 10 travellers confirm. If we ever cancel a departure, every rupee comes back to you — deposit included.

The deposit is non-refundable (a large part is returned if your visa is rejected). Cancel 30+ days before departure and half the balance paid is refunded; within 30 days there's no refund. Full policy is on the website.

Internal flights within the trip are included where the itinerary needs them. International flights to and from Thailand aren't — so you can use points, pick your airline, and join from any city. We share recommended flight windows the moment you book.

Indian passport holders currently enter Thailand without a pre-arranged visa for short tourist stays — you'll just need a passport valid for 6+ months. Rules change, so we confirm the latest requirements with you before you fly.

Yes, a good Travel Insurance is Included.

Twin-share with another traveller of the same gender by default — it's how most friendships start. Want your own room? Add a private room for a supplement.

Moderately. There's one guided trek and some easy walking or kayaking depending on the trip — everything strenuous is optional and the pace is deliberately unhurried.

Yes — a small screened group, the founder present every day, handpicked stays and private transfers. Many of our travellers are solo women, and the group never splits up unless you want it to.

Thailand is easier for vegetarians than people expect, and we plan included meals with options for everyone. Tell us your dietary needs before departure and we'll handle the rest.

Yes — grab an eSIM or a local SIM at the airport for a few hundred rupees, and every stay has Wi-Fi. We send a short guide covering SIMs, currency and packing before you fly.

According to the latest Thailand Immigration Policies, every traveler has to carry a minimum of ฿20000 (Thai Baht)(About ₹60000) in Cash or Equivalent source of funds but most travelers only spend about ₹20 - ₹30K on Shopping, Utilities, Meals and Personal Expenses. But be sure to carry atleast ฿20000 in Cash or Forex Card to avoid any hassles.

November to February — cool, dry and clear in the mountains and on the islands alike. That's exactly when our departures run.

Akshat messages you on WhatsApp with the full itinerary, dates and prices. If it feels right, you hop on a short call, reserve with the deposit, and start packing. No spam, no pushy follow-ups.
